CladEx: Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re considering using CladEx for the first time then you’ll probably have a few questions to ask us. To make things easier for you and to help answer some of your queries, here are some of the most frequently asked questions about CladEx.

What sizes can you manufacture? We can manufacture any size up to 4000mm x 1180mm.

What thicknesses does CladEx come in? 30mm as standard, but can be made up to 50mm thick.

What are the finished dimensions? Full panels finish shoulder-to-shoulder at 1180mm wide with a half panel starting at 570mm. We can finish the panel at any size 1180mm and under.

What U-value will CladEx achieve? The U-value can be as low as 0.21W/m²K when used as part of Excel’s specified wall system. Request the CladEx Technical Specification for further details.

Does CladEx need a balancing sheet? Not essential but, for ease of installation, we suggest any panel over 2400mm be bonded with a balancing sheet.

How are the panels fixed and what trims do you supply? Our recommended fixing process, associated trims and technical specification are all detailed in the CladEx brochure. If you require this information please contact us and we will gladly send you a copy.
